There are many sources and articles on the internet available for
everyone to read and follow in building a list.
It can be confusing because there are just so many!
Different groups of people have different approaches in
building an opt-in list, but no matter how diverse many methods
are, there are always some crucial things to keep in mind while
building your list.
Here are four of them…
1… Your business page, blog site, social media site or facebook
fanpage should make a good impression. If a visitor finds
something that he or she doesn’t like and turns them off, they may
just forget about signing up, no matter good your product may be!
There should be an area where they could put in their names and
e-mail address, or a way to contact you.
This web form or capture page will automatically save and send you
the visitors information. and you should have an auto-responder
campaign set up too.
2… You need to have well-written and well-placed content with
descriptions on your site, and working links to a sign-up page.
Depending on what your site is all about, you need to capture your
visitor’s fancy. Make your site user friendly.
Make your graphics beautiful but don’t over do it.
Too much clutter is just as bad as not enough content or links to
3… By providing good service and products, you’ll have repeat
customers, and that is more likely to bring in more business.
Just remember word of mouth is viral!
Recommendations alone bring in more business than an expensive ad.
4… Keep your e-mail list private. Never lose the trust your
customers have entrusted you. It’s bad protocol to sell your list.
Remember, a good reputation will drive in more traffic and
subscribers as well as strengthen the loyalty of your customers.
