It’s just barely Spring and already my Granddaughter is itching for outside playtime, her favorite words?
There’s nothing to do! I’m SO BORED!
Have your kids started saying that too?
Well Mom & Dad, relax, here’s a list of things you can do to provide entertainment for all those boring days…
Have you ever heard of Scratch?
Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. It is provided free of charge.
Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world.
As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work
collaboratively, and reason systematically.
This site alone will provide valuable learning skills while your kids are having FUN!
Maybe you have little ones?
For the little ones, you can print out coloring activity sheets, listen to audio stories, and mazes! There’s section for all ages.
There’s no better way for kids to get familiar with the world around them than to explore it. If you find it’s a hassle getting your child
outside to enjoy the learning opportunities nature provides, try
taking him/her on a nature scavenger hunt. Your child will have to to use all of his/her senses to find out more about the world
around them.

Here’s another website I found that has loads of activities, most of them are free.
The really cool part of all of this? YOU, Mom & Dad are creating
childhood memories that years into the future will be remembered
and talked about with your Grandchildren. And who knows,
perhaps you’ll dig out an old keepsake box and show off the favored artwork!
I could go pages deep on this, as I’m a single Mom & Grandma
working my Business from home, and keeping an easily bored 10yr
old active!
So have FUN with your kids, you’ll be blessed with years of memories!
